Young as the Morning Old as the Sea and Young as the Morning Old as the Sea

Week #16 – May 1

The landscapes of New Zealand and Iceland played a significant role in inspiring the album’s panoramic themes. Passenger (Mike Rosenberg) drew from his travels to create a sense of wanderlust and exploration in the music.

The Canadian group The Once, who had previously toured with Passenger, contributed backing vocals to the album. Their collaboration added a rich layer to the album’s vocal harmonies.

The Killers have cited “Turn On The Bright Lights” as a major influence on their debut album “Hot Fuss.” Brandon Flowers even covered “Obstacle 1” at the New York Governors Ball in 2016, highlighting the album’s impact on their music.
