Local Honey and Temporary Resident
Week #13 – April 10
Local Honey
by Brian Fallon
Little know facts
Brian Fallon described “Local Honey” as an album entirely focused on the present moment. He emphasized that every song is about his current experiences and feelings, rather than past events or future aspirations.
Fallon turned his midlife crisis into creative fuel for this album. He reflected on his life at 40, his family, and the realization that life’s problems are universal.
The album is known for its intimate, homespun feel, making it a perfect listen for quiet, reflective moments.
Temporary Resident
by Imaginary Cities
Little know facts
Imaginary Cities was formed when Marti Sarbit and Rusty Matyas met while working at a bar in Winnipeg. Their collaboration began with a Motown song Matyas wrote, which Sarbit sang.
Despite being a relatively new band, Imaginary Cities opened for the Pixies during their North American tour in 2011.
The band’s name, “Imaginary Cities,” was inspired by a song title from their debut album, “Temporary Resident.” They felt it reflected their nomadic lifestyle as musicians
